Over the weekend, I cooked this delicious pork belly with a sweet sesame sauce for my family.  The recipe was given to me by my son who is currently working in a restaurant in Damansara:)

This is so simple and you can substitute the meat with chicken:-

800g pork belly, cut into bite sizes (or you can use chicken) - season with salt and pepper and a tablespoon of cornstarch.
Put about 100g of rice flour in a bowl, coat the seasoned meat with the rice flour and deep fry in very hot oil till golden brown. Drain out access oil by placing the cooked meat on some kitchen towel.

Sweet Sesame Sauce:
Mix all the following together ~
2 1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon chinese cooking wine (Hua Tiao Chiew) or sherry
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
2 tablepoons sesame oil
1/2 cup water

About 3 tablespoons of sesame seeds or more if you like

In a wok or saucepan, toast sesame seeds till they start popping and then quickly pour in the sauce mixture. Let the sauce boil down until it thickens before adding the cooked chicken.  Coat chicken with the sauce well before dishing out and serve immediately.

Enjoy this very simple dish with white fluffy steamed rice:)
I also tried out this hasselback potato which was pretty simple to make too, all you need is a nice oval shaped potato, slice the bottom to obtain a nice flat sturdy surface before slicing it thinly through but not all the way...I placed 2 chopsticks on both sides before slicing which helped heaps! Rub salt, sprinkle some oregano and drizzle some olive oil before baking it for about 40 minutes and voila! you have this very pretty potato to enjoy:D
I threw in the oregano stalk to bake along, smelled so good!
