Oreos Buttercupcakes

When I saw the picture posted by a fellow baker in Kitchen Capers under the synonym of Lazymine and I was tempted try baking this cake. It looks so mouthwatering! The cake tasted as good as the picture too. Soft and fluffy and fragrant. I would reduce the sugar to 170 grams as I find it a tad on the sweet side. Here's the recipe...


250 gm Butter
170 gm Sugar
4 Eggs
250 gm Self-raising Flour
2 tspn vanilla essence
6 Tblspn Milk
200 gm Oreo Cookies, crushed (clear the cream)


1 Heat oven to 180 deg C. Fill up a muffin tray with cupcakes paper or you can use souffle cups.
2 In a mixer, beat butter and sugar till white and fluffy.
3 Add in eggs one at a time, alternating with flour.
4 Add vanilla essence , milk and Oreo cookies into it and stir lightly.
5 Pour into the cups and bake for about 22 mins.

Note: You can reduce the sugar to 150g and add in the cream from the oreos if you do not have kids scrambling to eat the cream.
