Baked cheesecake

Bought 2kg of creamcheese from the bakers mall last week for RM42. That's cheap compared to those sold in shopping malls. Baked this super yummylicious cake last night for the boys as they like to buy those sold in Secret Recipe which cost an arm and a leg if you know what I mean. This one is close enough in taste if not in looks, they said....need to improve on that..


Here's the recipe:-

(A) 500g creamcheese
50g sugar
(B) 230g Whipped topping cream ( I just use one box of 200g)
(C) 5 egg yolks
(D) 120g Flour
(E) Zest of 1 lemon
(F) 5 egg whites
120 g sugar
1 tsp lemon juice


1. Cream (A) till light and fluffy.
2. Add (B) and cream till smooth.
3. Add (C) and cream till well blended.
4. Add (D) and (E) mix combined. Set aside.
5. Whip the egg whites in (F) till soft peaks. Add the remaining ingredients and contimue to whip till soft peaks.
6. Thoroughtly mix the egg white batter with the cheese mixture.
7. Grease and line a 9" round mould, then pour in the batter and bake in water bath at 150 degree celsius for 90 minutes or till set and golden brown.
8. Serve cold or room temperature, depending on one's preference.
