Stir fried leek with chinese sausages

This was one of the dishes that I had cooked for Chinese New Year reunion lunch last week and would like to put up the recipe here for those who wish to try it. I used leeks imported from China which is available only during this festive period.

You will need:-

300 gm of chinese leeks sliced thinly
1 large onions, sliced in wedges
1 small carrots sliced
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 pc chinese sausages sliced diagonally
2 tbs vegetable oil
1/2 tsp chicken stock granules
salt and pepper to taste
3 - 4 tbs water
The ingredients all ready to be cooked

Method:

1. Heat up a wok and add the oil.  Add chinese sausages and fry till slightly brown then dish out and set aside.
2. Add chopped garlic into the same wok and fry till golden brown.  Add onions and carrots and fry till onions are soft .
3. Add leeks and continue frying for a minute.  Add 3-4 tablespoon of water and let it simmer till almost dry then add chicken stock granules and seasoning to taste.
4. Lastly,  add the fried sausages and stir quickly to combine.
Dish out and serve immediately with rice.

Enjoy!

WISHING EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY :D

  15. Such a vibrant looking dish with some healthy ingredients. I'd probably have to substitute another type of sausage, unless my stores carry them now. Delicious!
