Blooming Flowers (Amaryllis some of you folks informed me...thanks)

Just want to share with you some photos of this beautiful plant. This is the 2nd time it bloomed; the first time it was a really unusual bloom, with only a single flower, right out from the bulb! Then after the flower wilted, it started growing like normal and a couple of days ago, started to bloom again. This was a bulb that I brought back from my trip to Medan a year ago. Below is a slide that I have created to show the different stages of the blooming flowers. Hope you like it.

  2. I've some of these in my garden but they always refuse to bloom. What I get is only the leaves!

  3. I have two pots in my garden, one red and one pink. One pot was given to me by my sister in law and one from a dear friend. They blooms all the time! I love it when they bloom, SO LOVELY! Thanks for sharing yours.

  19. I think that is what we call an amaryllis state-side. I had a white one a few weeks ago - and yes, I love them, they make me think of Christmas.
