Creamcheese braids

Got the idea of making a huge braided bread filled with wonderful fillings from The Fresh Loaf

I used just creamcheese for my filling this time and it turned out so delicious! I used the creamcheese custard recipe that I had used before, which is quite thick thus there were less leakage from the braids. Next time, I am going to try it with peanutbutter/jam filling. Hmmm.... I can even use redbean paste.

  2. I would love your cream cheese filling in a braid. And it's so beautiful and your bread looks so tender and light.

  4. Jeannie, you are so good in baking. You must open a bakery. This one just looks so good. I should try this one as there's so much cheese here.

  5. Mary, if I can get cheese at reasonable prices, I would bake food with cheese everyday! Unfortunately, cheese here is very expensive. Same with double cream, whipping and other dairy products.

  8. @Olive, I was very skeptical about homebaked bread too but after reading so much about it, I had decided to go ahead and experiment and I am glad I did. I still have a lot to learn and been reading up comments in forums about other people's experiences and improved on my own bread. You should give it a try.
@ My Little Space...Thanks for visiting, you have loads of great recipes that I must try, starting with the more simpler ones of course:D
