The making of.....

Hotdog&cheese buns, using my new oven to bake it for the first time. Set the temperature at 200 decgrees for 20 mins and promptly left it to bake on it's own while I proceed to relax...the result? Slightly overbaked buns!

The recipe just for record:-

300g breadflour
10g sugar
1tsp yeast
6g salt
30g butter
230ml milk mix with 1 egg

If you are using the bread maker to knead the dough, just dump everything in but make sure the yeast stays on top of the flour and is dry.

After the dough is done, take out and proceed to cut into 8 to 10 portions and shaped into hotdogs buns as shown above. Leave aside to rise and when doubled in size, brush with egg on the top.

Bake at 200 degrees C for 8 mins then lower temp to 180 degree C and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until the desired shade of brown is achieved.
